JD Hoye is a nationally recognized leader in forging partnerships between educators and employers. As President of the National Academy Foundation, she leads an acclaimed network of career-themed academies that annually provide 62,000 students access to industry-specific curricula, work-based learning experiences, and relationships with business professionals.  NAF academies focus on one of five career themes: finance, hospitality & tourism, information technology, engineering, and health sciences. NAF has developed an industry-leading student assessment system and credential that will be recognized by colleges and employers.

U.S. Secretary of Education Richard Riley and U.S. Secretary of Labor Robert Reich selected Ms. Hoye to head the Office of School-to-Work, which she led for four years, spurring nationwide progress in linking education and workforce development. She has directed education reform and workforce development at state and local levels and led a national consulting practice to support community efforts in these areas.
