Nancy Dussault Smith is the Vice President of Marketing Communications for iRobot Corporation. She spearheaded the most successful product launch of a home robot in America, introducing the iRobot Roomba Vacuum Cleaning Robot to the world in 2002. Ms. Smith oversees all of the public relations, internal communications, creative and branding efforts at iRobot globally. She also leads the charge for iRobot’s SPARK program – the Starter Program for the Advancement of Robotics Knowledge. This program aims to revitalize the foundation of innovation through Science, Technology, Engineering and Math education by getting kids, parents and teachers excited about learning through robots.  

Recognized as a leader in her field, Ms. Smith advises companies on their marketing strategies, serves as New England Chapter President for the CMO Club, a global peer-to-peer membership organization of 700 Chief Marketing officers, and contributed to the to the 2011 book on making better business decisions, Drinking from the Firehose. In addition, she holds three patents on the iRobot Scooba Floor Washing Robot. Ms. Smith is the recipient of the 2010 Stevie for Women in Business: Best Executive, and has led her teams to numerous other awards, including the Public Relations Society of America Big Apple award, Bulldog Award for Excellence in Media Relations and Publicity, MarComm Creative Award and Summit Creative Award. 

Ms. Smith passionately believes that emerging technologies can make difference in people’s lives. She was a National Merit Scholar and holds a cum laude BS/BA in Marketing and Advertising from Merrimack College. Ms. Smith is also an avid athlete and enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter and their dog.
